I've been thinking about it lately. What have I learned in college that can be useful in my random daily life, really? Does the first 2 lines really have to rhyme? Heh. Aside from Mathematics and the engineering concepts that has been and is being a pain in the arse for the past 4 months in preparation for the board... I think I know what it is. In fact from the time that the words came out of our professor's mouth, I knew I am gonna take it by the heart. Or maybe not. Because I still haven't frigging learned.
So before I sleep tonight, let me share another song that I have been liking these days. It's The Weepies' Can't Go Back Now. I started liking the band not so long ago. Actually it was just maybe last last week as I happen to be browsing magazines and read about this article about my guy, lol, Ryan Reynolds. Mentioned there were the songs that he's listening to so I got curious and checked some of them. And so yes, say hello to The Weepies. Can't say I'm a fan because I only get to listen to three of their songs, but I like them. This one's called Can't Go Back Now.
Yesterday, when you were young
Everything you needed done was done for you.
Now you do it on your own
But you find you're all alone
What can you do?
You and me walk on
Cause you can't go back now.
You know there will be days when you're so tired that you can't take another step,
The night will have no stars and you'll think you've gone as far as you will ever get
But you and me walk on
Cause you can't go back now
And yeah, yeah, go where you want to go
Be what you want to be
If you ever turn around, you'll see me.
I can't really say why everybody wishes they were somewhere else
But in the end, the only steps that matter are the ones you take all by yourself
And you and me walk on
Yeah you and me walk on
Cause you can't go back now
Walk on, walk on, walk on
You can't go back now

Listed in Ryan's playlist is World Spins Madly on (I like that one too.)
"But in the end, the only steps that matter are the ones you take all by yourself."
Isn't this line just striking and lovely? Kk. Good night.
All I feel now
Is the weight of the day
I need you with me
To push it away
We disappeared into each other
Colors appeared and bleed into one
Fade into me, fade into you
Two of us melting together until we become something new
We can't escape
And watch the world chasing to find us
Both of us hidden from view
If you, fade into me, fade into me
When I'm broken
You're the one thing I need
Like an ocean
Feel you crash over me
Not gonna fall in
Drown in the moment with me
Sinking till we start to breathe
So yeah, this has remained my favourite song from David Cook's This Loud Morning album. My favourite list has changed, though. I enjoy listening to 4 Letter Word in the past days and there's the anthemic We Believe, one of my early faves. Oh. Rapid Eye Movement is also cool.
There's something about Fade Into Me that I don't know, I just like its vibe. Like a form of release after a very long and emotional day.. Listen to it and then you'd feel quite better. I know right? There isn't really a connection to what I have just said and the lyrics, lol. But I think it isn't really always necessary to relate to the lines to actually enjoy a good record. Sometimes we just need to let our ears do its thing and extend the effect to our heart. And when a musician's filled with so much passion, sincerity and conviction... It would make you just feel it. Whatever that it may be. And that's almost always the case for me.
So much for a comeback blogpost lol since I haven't really posted in a very long while. I haven't really updated my page. Well, you know how it is, reviewing for the board and all. Tonight, I just felt like posting the first song that would pop in my player as I am reviewing my Reinforced Concrete Design lecture notes tonight. Needless to say, some minutes off won't hurt and I just had dinner and I am on a really good mood... lol and it's one of my fave songs at the moment, really.
PS: I am listening to the song in a loop at the time of this writing. :)

CE GOES TO HONGKONG AND MACAU
By: April Ann Contrata De Guzman
At the thought of documenting our Field Trip that took place last January 26 to 28, I was like staring into the monitor for quite some time thinking, “Sure, it’s been fun and all and it’s been a blast. But.. where would I start? Which shall I include and which shall I not?” I was also happy because in a way it also means I have to relive the moments that we had back then. And yes, that is nice.
