Lights and Sounds

To start my The Walking Dead Season 1 marathon. To finish reading The Mark of Athena. That is my plan for the past weekend.  But whatever happened to planning things, they never work out anyway, or at least the way we planned it; because most of the times, things work out even more awesome than the things we had in mind.

I have never been to a Lights and Sound show before and from what I have heard, Ayala Triangle has some of the best that we had in the place and so when my best friend of whom I have not really get to talked with in a very long while told me that she's coming with her sisters, and my schedule is not so tight during Saturdays, I immediately said yes. Part of me wants to see the lights. The other half wants to see her again
and so after my work, off to Ayala I go; that is just a few blocks away from the hotel that I am staying (also known as our site office). One of my good friends/college mates/sisters shares the same sentiment of witnessing a world class lights and sound event with me, and she decided to come with me too after her work and it was even more fun seeing her again weeks after our trip to the beach. Call it hitting two or even three birds in one stone.

I don't have much to say, really. It is fascinating and relaxing to watch I absolutely loved it. The presence of your friends even added up to the joy of the moment.

We did not get to talk much, but I am glad to have her around. She seemed happy seeing the lights as well, anyway.

Here are some photos that Riza took using her cool gadget:

Here are some from Jobie's phone. Just a little warning, though. She loves taking pictures... of sceneries but mostly, her friends. And because I was the only one (before I introduced her to the other people in our group) that she knew in the place... well, you see. Captured here were mostly me.

Oh, I did take some of her pictures here. *revenge is sweet*

Stop, turn, take a look around
At all the lights and sounds
Let ‘em bring you in

Slow burn, let it all fade out
And pull the curtain down
I wonder where you've been

You've earned everything you've found
And painted faces frown
I'll say I knew you when

I arrived home (in the province) quite late and my back is aching terribly (because of carrying my huge and heavy backpack all night long) but i got to say it was all worth it.

The following day, Sunday, is even more eventful for I get to bond with my favourite girls after almost a year. Rhoane works abroad, and Diane's work is eating most of her time which is almost just the same as in my case. We did a lot of catching up and gift giving. How I miss them so much! And they, obviously, are feeling the same. These are some of my non-biological sisters who's stuck with me through thick and thin; who accepts the imperfect me; who shares my random awkwardness at times; who understands.

With my man, Diane.

White girl (haha), Rhoane.

Time flies by when we're having fun, cliche as it is but it is very true. But even though it went real fast, it would never stop one from cherishing every moment.

My cousins and I watched the ball game in Smart Araneta Center later that night and it ended with a big win. The 5th win for the team (three-game winning streak), Mark Caguioa bagging the Player of the Game recognition, my cousins getting to have their photos with their favourite ballers taken. Everybody went home with a big smile.

I did not get to start with my The Walking Dead Season 1 marathon, and I doubt it would be done and be a couch potato in the next few days. I don't really mind, though for it will be the Kerygma Conference 2012 next weekend and it is going to be my first time to attend such glorious event that I have never been more stoked. Then Samurai X Live Action will finally be shown in the Philippine cinema after months of release dates' push back and again, it is going to be a date with my girlfriends. Well, we need some stress reliever despite being busy with work and all, right?

Gifts from my girlfriends. Love them!!
