Because We Should Try Something New
And for 2013, let me just try this (as I would call it) "Jar of
Sunshine" as inspired from a post of my kindred
soul/friend, Rhiane on
her very own domain. I am pretty sure she's also on with this cute little
self-empowering project this year. The rule is simple: you just have to write
down every positive thing that has happened or blessings that you have received
(be it on a small package or a major one) each day and then you'd keep it on a
jar. By the end of the year it will be the time when you'll get to read all
your entries one by one and it will serve as a reminder of the bountiful year
that has passed. How cool is that, really?
It sucks, though that I don't have a jar at the moment
to keep my notes yet. I have started with mine last January 1st I
wish to find a decent jar soon before I run out of spaces. You know, happy
memories keep on coming in and my notes are just multiplying..
Try this too, if you must. The more artsy, the better, yes?
I, for one, am thinking of using a piggy bank and try out notepads in different
colors and sizes. So stoked with the future reads! ;-)
A long note re: le blog title
It is somehow comical and rad how random conversations
between friends can get. One moment you are laughing your arses out over some
joke that you may have heard bajillion times before but never loses its magic
or some embarrassing moment that is now a laughing matter, then later on you
will get all serious with life's successes and misfortunes; daily lives in line
with your future plans. One time you're feeding in with the latest celebrity
gossips, bashing fandoms, drooling over some alpha-male and/or band dudes;
comparing and recommending good films and books; giving insights over some
rather important stuff; offering helpful pieces of advice. It's amazing how
we never run out of crazy ideas.
So one time, Jobie and I are on with this
life-work-and-what-lies-ahead kind of conversation, even tackled a bit on our
future love lives (laugh real hard at this). Having endured some of life's
mishaps, graduated college and being on our early 20's now (I'm freaking 21. What.),
now is the time to grab all the best life has to offer. Eat foods we haven't
tried before. Travel and visit places we've never imagined we'd be in. Make new
friends. Value the old ones. Laugh more. Love more.
Bottomline: try something new. Despite every
wounds that goes along with it, all is still well. Life... is still good. And
it is never wrong to look forward to the best.
