One OK Rock and We Came As Romans: Tour Buddy Goals

It is such a great thing when your favourite band dudes communicate with each other be it on a gathering or on social media. What is even greater is when they get to have that chance to go on a tour together which is currently the case of One OK Rock and metal band We Came As Romans.

I was introduced to the music of WCAR back in 2012 when they took part on the annual Bazooka Rocks festival held in SMX Convention Center and loved them almost immediately. Their songs, though that time admittedly I am not familiar in general are catchy that you cannot help but jam, dance along and do a head bang. I was in the middle of the wild mosh pit during their set and there is no other place I would like to be. It is very evident in their set how in-synced the band was in their collective purpose and how much they are actually enjoying playing together. It's been madness since then.

One OK Rock is one of those Asian acts that I actually admire and it has basically started when they did the soundtrack of the first Rurouni Kenshin live action film. It was coincidentally called The Beginning (how fitting because it's also the beginning of me being a fan of the band.) and from there I listened to more of their music and knowing how fascinated I am at some degree with anything Japanese (matcha, animes/jdrama, a boyband called Arashi and the language itself that at some point I did try to learn it. I can only read/write a few, though.) plus the fact that these boys are really talented, it is really easy to fall for them and the rest is, as you know, history.

Right now these two bands are touring the UK together (with WCAR being the front act)! How awesome is that, right? WCAR's lovely bae-ssist, Andy Glass even posted a couple of photos/video on Instagram of them doing their thing onstage and having loads of fun backstage. Also, he has even expressed his amazement of the band's recent album release, 35xxxv, and I think that's pretty rad.

How I wish WCAR can join One OK Rock as well as they first set feet in Manila this coming January, though *coughs Pulp Live World, coughs Sir Vernon Go coughs*. But I'm still hyped, nonetheless, even if they won't.

I already have my ticket for the gig and will be seeing them with one of my best friends at the mosh pit!

And have checked the recent set list that they had in Manchester a few days back and I hope that they would also get to play these in Manila! (Pretty positive that they will.)

Be The Light may not be included but I am really looking forward to hearing and rocking out to Cry Out, Suddenly, Clock Strikes and other stuff from the latest record and sing all my heart out to Heartache and The Beginning, too.

Mata ne, One OK Rock! ~
